Course Prerequisites
- You must have previous roped climbing experience (outdoor or gym)
- You must be an active Sierra Club member and provide your member number
- You must be able to attend all classes
- You must own or be willing to purchase the required climbing gear. see Gear List
Course Acceptance Priorities
- Please note that starting with this AMP26 session, the participants will be selected using the following priorities:
1. Sierra Club Member enrolled in the LTC leadership program with goal of M/E rating.2. SC Members with aspirations for LTC leadership3. All other SC members
- The registration form will ask the potential participant to self-attest their SC leadership goals.

Cost
- AMP26 will be operated with no required fees.
- Participants are asked to make a donation to the Sierra Club LTC.
- Minimal fees may be implemented in the future. In that case there will be fee waivers for SC members who are in the LTC program.
- You must have or purchase the required gear. Past students have found they end up spending roughly $400
- Accommodation for Class 4 outing: Camping or hotel
Registration Process
- The registration form (link at the bottom of this page) will open on that date at 8 am PST. Your spot in the registration queue is saved when you submit the registration form (not when you open it)
- You should receive an email confirmation at the email address you provided confirming that we received your registration.
- Registrants are added to the class on the priority basis stated above assuming they are qualified for the course, have not taken the course before, and provided all the required information.
- If you make it in, the AMP registrar will follow to officially confirm your spot. If you are on the waitlist, you will receive an email letting you know roughly where you are on the waitlist. When your spot is confirmed and you will be asked via email to provide a Sierra Club medical form.
To have the best chance of getting through the form quickly, please have your name, address, phone number, email, and an active Sierra Club number ready to enter. Please note that failing to fill out all information on the form may drop you down the priority queue in favor of those who did provide all information.
